Jakarta, January 5, 2026 – Astra Property, through its Colleague Volunteering Program (CVP), the “Book It Forward” book donation, successfully collected 2,473 books from employees, tenants, visitors, residents, and others. These books were handed over to the Astra Foundation and Bookhive on Friday, December 12th 2025, for distribution to schools, community reading centers, and orphanages.

Of the total books collected, 2,026 copies will be distributed through the Astra Foundation to 42 partner schools, including SMKN 11 West Seram in Maluku. While 447 copies will be distributed through Bookhive Indonesia to 24 community reading centers. This donation is expected to reach 66 distribution points and readers in Jabodetabek and other regions in Indonesia.

As part of the CVP, “Book It Forward” emphasizes Astra Property's commitment to the #EveryCommunityMatters pillar, which encourages employees, tenants, and property visitors to contribute to sustainable social development. To increase enthusiasm and facilitate participation for all parties, drop boxes have been placed in four strategic locations: Menara Astra, Altea BLVD Marketing Village, ASYA Genova, and Menara FIF.

“The enthusiasm of Astra Property employees, along with the participation of tenants, visitors, and residents in donating books for this program, is very encouraging and reflects a shared concern for literacy. Access to quality reading materials is a crucial foundation for building a more inclusive and sustainable education system. Through this initiative, we hope that more parties will be inspired to contribute to expanding access to literacy for the community,” said Fachrurozi, Astra Property GS ESG Department Head.

The partnership with the Astra Foundation provides synergy in reaching Astra's schools and assisted communities, while the collaboration with Bookhive leverages the organization's network and expertise in managing and distributing books to Community Reading Gardens. This initiative targets communities with limited library facilities, in line with its contribution to SDG 4 on Quality Education.

The “Book It Forward” program is designed as a regular initiative integrated into Astra Property's annual CVP agenda, focusing on the Environment, Education, Health, and Entrepreneurship.
